Once again it has been a frustrating start to the Season thanks to the ever changing weather conditions. The ground suffered at the end of last Season with heavy rain in August and has been trying to recover ever since! The mild Winter allowed the grass to keep growing so we have battled with cutting the grass and avoiding the muddy patches. We are hopeful that all pitches will be available for use by the early May Bank Holiday.
It has been quite chilly and the April showers have been frequent but we have welcomed some hardy campers who are keen to start their season early. We were pleased to see one of our regular Campers at Easter who has finally achieved their dream of owning a Campervan. This photo was taken on the Saturday before Storm Katie which was particularly ferocious causing one of our Seasonal pitches awning to take off!
I was fortunate to visit Pashley Manor Gardens earlier this week which is a privately owned Grade 1 listed Tudor/Georgian Manor House with beautiful romantic gardens. Their Tulip Festival runs from April 22nd - May 7th - I would heartily recommend a visit, just a short 20 minute drive from us. See their website for details of their events through the season.
running through a large area.
We hope to see you later in the season :)
