Welcome to Rother Valley Camping

Welcome to our  family owned and run Campsite situated on the Kent & East Sussex border, perfectly placed between 1066 country and the Weald of Kent.

You will find 30 spacious pitches around the perimeter of our large main camping field and a further 13 secluded alcove pitches in our wooded area. We leave the large meadow in the middle of the camping field empty so there is room for children and families to relax and play. There is an area of woodland with little dens for the children to explore and a woodland walk suitable for dogs. The small children's play area is in the main field with swings, slide, tower and sand table. Picnic tables are situated where you can take advantage of the beautiful views over the Rother Valley and watch the quaint steam trains chug past.
There is much to do in the area with many pretty villages, historic houses, beautiful gardens, sandy and shingle beaches and a choice of local vineyards all within a short drive.  The picturesque town of Rye with it's Harbour and and unique maritime history is only 7 miles away. The small Kentish town of Tenterden with it's wide tree lined high street and fantastic selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants is also within a 10 minute drive. The fabulous Camber Sands with its award winning sand dune backed beach is a 15 minute drive and the seaside towns of Hastings, Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea are easily accessible.
If you visit for a weekend or short break you can easily fill your time without even using the car! Enjoy a walk or boat trip along the River  Rother. Go back in time on the nostalgic Kent & Sussex Steam Railway which will take you to the fairy tale Bodiam Castle or Tenterden town centre. Take a stroll into Northiam village to visit the beautiful gardens at Great Dixter or sample the home cooking offered at Will's Deli and Bakery. Visit the Mill Toy and Pedal Car Museum and sample one of their cream teas. Enjoy a meal and glass or two of wine at the 16th century White Hart Inn or sample Indian fine dining at Sahebs Restaurant. Finally round off your evening with a campfire on your pitch using one of our firepits.

We cater for most outfits from the smallest tent through to the large American RV, with or without electric. We try to be fair with our tariff with a per person charge and no annoying extras for gazebos or pup tents. We will always aim to pitch families and friends together and allocate you your pitch of choice wherever possible.

We accept Caravans, Campervans, Motorhomes and Tents
